Boskalis wins € 500 million LNG project in Australia

The contract value is approximately € 500 million and was awarded by Chevron Australia Pty Ltd in cooperation with Kellogg Joint Venture - Gorgon.
Work is set to commence early 2010 and it is due to be completed by the end of 2011.
Various dredging & marine contracting activities will be constructed under the responsibility of Boskalis.
A roll-on-roll-off facility will be constructed in addition to 200 meters of quay walls and mooring dolphins.
Furthermore, Boskalis has been assigned the logistical and program management responsibility for part of the basic infrastructure.
The project will be executed with a combination of a jumbo cutter, a large hopper and backhoes.
This project fits well within our strategic focus on the oil and gas market segment and our expansion into marine contracting activities.
After having worked intensively with the client in an “early contractor involvement” capacity, we look forward to making a significant contribution to the Gorgon development.”
